Minnesota agency announces new Chief Marketing Officer, Managing Director, Chief Production Officer and Director of Talent and Communications
Minneapolis, MN – Sep 6th, 2013 – This week, Fallon Minneapolis announced four major appointments to management roles within the agency. The leadership appointments include: John King has been made Chief Marketing Officer; Rocky Novak has been appointed Managing Director, Charles Wolford is now Chief Production Officer, and Julie McBride has become Director of Talent and Communications.
John King has been promoted to Chief Marketing Officer. Formerly Chief Communications Officer, John King’s new position as CMO will see him taking on greater responsibility for shaping the face of the agency, as well as giving him a greater role in new business. John brings competitive fire to the CMO role at Fallon, drawing all the motivation he needs from a sign that used to hang in the Kansas City Chiefs’ locker room: “IT IS EASIER TO WIN THAN TO TRY AND EXPLAIN WHY YOU DIDN’T.”
Rocky Novak is shifting from Director of Digital Development to Managing Director. During his time as Fallon’s Director of Digital Development, Rocky was instrumental in growing the agency’s digital business and capabilities. In this role Novak will oversee execution of the agency’s vision in its work and elsewhere – from start to finish. He will also be instrumental in reworking and managing the agency structure in the coming year.
Charles Wolford has joined as Chief Production Officer. Charles joined the agency at the end of last year and oversees all aspects of content production with a focus on innovative work. He brings years of experience producing an impressive body of work for clients like Nike, Coca-Cola, Palm, Budweiser, Cadillac, RED and the band U2, among numerous others.
Julie McBride is shifting from Director of Talent to a wider role as Director of Talent and Communications. In addition to her recent role as Director of Talent, Julie spent 10 years in Account Management with the agency, spearheading efforts for Citigroup, EDS, Holiday Inn and Holiday Inn Express, Nordstrom and others. She brings this unique experience to her new role, which will utilize her strong knowledge of the people and culture of the agency to oversee recruitment and brand management.
“We’re heading into an exciting new time at Fallon, and we think that all of these appointments are going to be critical in shaping the future of the agency,” said Mike Buchner, CEO of Fallon. “John, Rocky, Charles and Julie are all exemplary talents who know the Fallon brand inside and out. We’re ecstatic to have them take on these key leadership positions.”
