Fallon Makes Two Management Appointments

September 13, 2011

Minneapolis creative advertising agency Fallon has made two senior management appointments, announced today by CEO Mike Buchner.

David Sigel, formerly Director of Account Management at Fallon, will take on new responsibilities as Managing Director, Strategic Growth. Sigel, a seasoned veteran of the Fallon account management department, has been selected for this position given his success in growing his own accounts over his 20-plus year career at Fallon. In his new role, Sigel will be charged with identifying strategic growth opportunities for the agency on current accounts, new client prospects and through talent acquisition or partnerships.

“This is a job that David is uniquely qualified for given his track record of success at Fallon,” said Fallon CEO Buchner. “Over the years, he has demonstrated a strong grasp of emerging client needs and an understanding of the financial drivers of their businesses, as well as ours.”

Assuming Sigel’s previous role is Chris Lawrence who is promoted to the position of Director of Account Management, where he will lead Fallon’s 35-person account group. Lawrence, on his third tour with Fallon, rejoined the agency in summer of 2010 after a brief stop at another local Minneapolis agency and a client side stint. He also played a major role in helping Fallon win the award-winning H&R Block account within a couple of weeks after his return to the agency.

“Chris has the perfect combination of EQ and IQ to be extremely successful in this leadership position,” said CEO Buchner. “I’m looking forward to see how Chris impacts the direction of the account group going forward, and I have every bit of confidence that, whatever he does, it will feel like Fallon.”

CEO Buchner says Fallon is expecting to deliver double-digit growth in 2011 for the third year running. “Fallon’s brand of creativity has been in demand from luxury brands through to household standards. For 30 years we’ve been about outsmarting, not outspending.”
