A Group Account Director is the senior client and agency lead. They serve as the “CEO” of their accounts. They have a passion for creativity and are responsible for the overall health of the business and the client relationship. They must lead and inspire, develop talent, encourage healthy debate, use critical thinking under pressure, and have a natural capacity to nurture and protect big ideas, which are all vital success measures in this position.
This role must have a firm grasp on agency P&L, resource management, margins, and the health of the account (both from a client relationship and fiscal standpoint). This person will manage a portfolio of $10M+ accounts (depending on client size and needs) and be responsible for the quality control of all activity on those accounts. Additionally, they will act in an advisory role to agency leadership.
